Basic Solids Step In Dog Harness

The quality is excellent but the fit makes it unusable for a Basset Hound. The front strap crosses over his front legs rather than around them. He's clearly not comfortable wearing it.

This is a well made, sturdy step-in harness which fits my dog well. The embroidery of her name is well done. Shipping was prompt. I recommend Lupine and this product!

Collars were great, just a reminder to really take great measurements as i had mine personalized and can not return, they were too small. But quality and style are wonderful!

This harness has been a godsend, I have a rescue that you can’t put anything over his head due to trauma in his life before we received him. Going for walks was a high stress for him with the over head harnesses. WoW!! What a difference when he can just step into this harness!!! His stress is gone!! It’s soft and of excellent quality!! I love that there are three different adjustable parts to it. Lila has sort of a funny body shape so this was really helpful. I've been looking for a sturdy harness that I can put on over her clothes for when we go for walks and it's a little chillier and this has been great so far. I think she would be able to back out if she wanted to and if I didn't have control but she's gotten a lot better about not trying that anymore. In the future I may try the Roman as well!

Hi Lila's Mom, We would recommend trying the traditional roman style for added security, we think you'll like it!

Our doodle has backed out of these harness a few times. That's not good! I've tried adjusting the straps. They fold behind her legs. Anymore, I'm afraid to use When we travel-don't want her to get loose.

Finally a harness that fits my 6 lb. Chi perfectly!! He's a chewer too, but only started two weeks after I put it on. Doesn't seem like he'll be ruining it too quickly. Great quality and very happy with this one!

I am not an expert on how to put these on my dog, I'll tell you that. But I can't seem to put the harness safely on my dog. I got the 1" width , 24-38" for my year old tibetan mastiff. It got off of my dog two times but it may be because it wasn't placed right. But I still like the look of it and the black goes great with her auburn/brown coat. It does hold when I go out with her, thankfully.

The harness is durable enough that it has lasted 2 weeks with my puppy. Now I need to see how your warranty works because when I took it off last night I noticed that the strap around the chest has been nearly chewed through.

Great quality and great color! This fits my dog really well and it is exactly what I was looking for. My dog is quite a sniffer and loves to eat things she shouldn't. The harness allows me to be able to control her and keep her safe, yet have sufficient freedom to be a dog! When I need to redirect her, there is no pulling on her neck with a traditional collar which is great!

This is the best harness ever! So easy. My dog just steps into it, I buckle her up and we're off for our walks.

Our Keeshond pup is quite the chewer and Lupine's guarantee to replace even if chewed is unbelievable. I have already had to replace one and Lupine had the new one delivered in under a week. Impressive!

We have recently rescued two adorable Pomeranians, a pair of siblings who are almost two years old. We realized almost immediately that they chewed on their harnesses and leashes if they could get to them. They chewed through several before I decided to find something that they couldn't ruin. So I researched "chew proof harnesses" and found really good reviews for the Lupine Pet products. I purchased each one a collar, harness, and matching leash. They came, and they are really beautiful and very well made. They also fit very well on the Pommies. Unfortunately, one of them chewed up the other's harness while we were transporting them in their crate. I don't know what it is about collars, harnesses, and leashes that makes them chew! So, I'm going to return the chewed one to test the guarantee. And then no more harnesses in the crate!

These harnesses are the only ones that work on my two small dogs. Tried several different brands and always come back to Lupine.

These are the first harnesses that have really fit our two shiba inus. We wish we had known of them sooner!

We've had difficulty in the past finding harnesses that fit the shibas. In the S-M-L way of sizing, the shibas are large smalls or small mediums, and relative to their size, their shoulders are broad. The step-in harness suits the shibas' bodies much better than a roman harness -- there is a shorter distance between the top of the chest and the point under their arms. The shibas don't seem to like fussy things, and the minimalist design of the step-in harness gives them fewer points to chew on.

Our shiba dude, in particular, would probably prefer to be naked in the world (he screamed the first time we placed a harness on him), and he has expressed his dislike of harnesses since by chewing on the hardware. Since donning the harness, it's clear that he's chewed on it, but the plastic parts seem to be withstanding his gnawing. It's a comfort to know that the harness is guaranteed against chewing.

Bottom line: i wholeheartedly recommend this harness for your shiba, spitz, or other willful, curly-tailed dog.

I have a mini poodle who can't have pressure on his throat. This fits snug and secure and makes our walks easier. I also love Lupine products because they are indestructible.

We have 2 Chihuahuas, One blond the other blue & tan. Bought the basic blue for the blond and the basic purple for the other one. the fit is good. I might have gone one size up. They had 3/8" ones prior, these are 1/2". The material is soft and pliable.The color chart doesn't do them justice. Royal blue and purple.
We bought matching 6' leads.

You can't find this quality elsewhere

I bought a small dog harness and it fits good. I already had to warranty it out because my dog chewed it up and they sent me a new one right away.

My dog knows she is going places with these harnesses come out! With the different ways to adjust she is comfortable in it and its a breeze to put on and off!

I purchased the wraparound harness for my 12 year old corgi. I have tried other harnesses and none seemed to fit him right until I tried Lupine's product. It is easy to put on, snap, and adjust. My dog is comfortable with the harness on and I like the color and quality of the product.
